About MENVEO

MENVEO is a conjugate vaccine indicated for the prevention of invasive meningococcal disease caused by Neisseria meningitidis serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y in individuals 11 through 55 years of age.

Active Ingredient & Action

MENVEO contains a combination of diphtheria toxoid conjugated to CRM-197 protein and meningococcal polysaccharides from serogroups A, C, W-135, and Y. The CRM-197 protein is used as a carrier to enhance the immune response to the polysaccharides. The vaccine works by stimulating the body's immune system to produce antibodies against the meningococcal polysaccharides, providing protection against invasive meningococcal disease.

Important Notes

Before administration, ensure that the individual has no history of severe allergic reaction to any component of the vaccine. MENVEO should be administered in a sterile environment, and the individual should be monitored for any signs of adverse reactions. The vaccine is not indicated for individuals with a history of severe allergic reaction to diphtheria toxoid or any other component of the vaccine.
