About CEFAZOLIN-BXFS
CEFAZOLIN-BXFS is a semi-synthetic antibiotic of the first generation cephalosporins for parenteral administration.
It is effective against most gram-negative microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Salmonella spp. and others.
Composition
Active substance: cefazolin; 1 vial contains cefazolin sodium equivalent to cefazolin 1000 mg.
Indications
Infections caused by susceptible microorganisms to cefazolin, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, sepsis, endocarditis and biliary tract infections.
Pharmacological properties
The mechanism of antimicrobial action is related to the inhibition of the enzyme transpeptidase, blocking the biosynthesis of the mukoprotein in the bacterial cell wall.
