ІМФІНЗІ is a prescription medicine used to treat certain types of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in adults. It is a monoclonal antibody that targets the PD-L1 protein, helping to restore the body's natural defense against cancer cells.

• Treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) in adults with PD-L1 expression ≥ 1% as determined by an FDA-approved test
• Adjuvant treatment of patients with stage III NSCLC after surgical resection or concurrent with definitive radiation therapy
• Treatment of patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma (UC) who have disease progression during or following platinum-containing chemotherapy, or have disease progression within 12 months of neoadjuvant or adjuvant treatment with platinum-containing chemotherapy

Active Ingredient & Action

ІМФІНЗІ contains the active ingredient Durvalumab, a human monoclonal antibody that selectively binds to PD-L1 (Programmed Death-Ligand 1). By binding to PD-L1, Durvalumab blocks the interaction between PD-L1 and PD-1 (Programmed Death-1), a receptor expressed on T cells, thereby releasing the inhibition of T-cell activation and proliferation. This action helps to restore the body's natural defense against cancer cells.

Important Notes

ІМФІНЗІ is a prescription medicine and should only be used under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. It is not recommended for use in patients with a history of severe hypersensitivity reactions to Durvalumab or any of its excipients. Patients should be monitored for signs and symptoms of immune-mediated adverse reactions, including pneumonitis, hepatitis, colitis, and endocrinopathies. Concomitant use of ІМФІНЗІ with other immunosuppressive agents or live vaccines is not recommended.
