ВЕЛПАНАТ/VELPANAT is a prescription medication containing the active ingredients Sofosbuvir and velpatasvir. It is used to treat chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in adults, including those with compensated cirrhosis and without cirrhosis.

Active Ingredient & Action

Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analog inhibitor of the HCV NS5B protein, while velpatasvir is an NS5A inhibitor. By targeting these proteins, ВЕЛПАНАТ/VELPANAT helps to reduce the amount of HCV in the body and promote viral clearance.

Important Notes

ВЕЛПАНАТ/VELPANAT is available in tablet form for oral administration. It is recommended to take one tablet once daily with or without food. Patients should be tested for HCV genotype and baseline HCV RNA levels before starting treatment. Regular monitoring of liver function and HCV RNA levels is also necessary during treatment. ВЕЛПАНАТ/VELPANAT may interact with other medications, including certain antacids, antiretroviral medications, and other HCV treatments.
