Netupitant, a substance P/neurokinin 1 (NK1) receptor antagonist, also works by blocking the action of substance P, a natural substance that can cause nausea and vomiting. Together, these two active ingredients help to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy. Important Notes AKYNZEO is available in a single-dose oral capsule. It is recommended to take AKYNZEO 30 minutes before chemotherapy. If you have any underlying medical conditions, are taking other medications, or are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before taking AKYNZEO.
