About VOSEVI

VOSEVI is a prescription medication containing a combination of Sofosbuvir, Voxilaprevir, and Velpatasvir, used to treat adults with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) genotype 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6 infection, with or without cirrhosis, or with compensated cirrhosis.

Active Ingredient & Action

Sofosbuvir is a nucleotide analog inhibitor of the HCV NS5B polymerase, which is essential for viral replication. Voxilaprevir is a potent inhibitor of the HCV NS3/4A protease, which is necessary for viral replication and maturation. Velpatasvir is a potent inhibitor of the HCV NS5A protein, which is involved in viral replication and assembly. The combination of these three active ingredients works synergistically to inhibit HCV replication and lead to viral clearance.

Important Notes

VOSEVI is available in tablet form for oral administration. It is recommended to take VOSEVI once daily with food. The recommended dosage is one tablet containing 400 mg of Sofosbuvir, 100 mg of Voxilaprevir, and 100 mg of Velpatasvir. VOSEVI should be used in combination with ribavirin in patients with HCV genotype 1a or 4 infection. Patients with severe renal impairment or end-stage renal disease should be closely monitored for signs of renal impairment. VOSEVI may cause serious side effects, including anemia, fatigue, and liver damage. Patients should be monitored regularly for signs of these side effects and report any concerns to their healthcare provider.
