Active Ingredient & Action
Adapalene, a derivative of Naphthoic acid, works by slowing down the growth of skin cells and preventing them from becoming too sticky, thereby reducing the formation of comedones (blackheads and whiteheads). Benzoyl Peroxide, on the other hand, has antibacterial properties that help to kill the bacteria that cause acne, reducing inflammation and preventing the spread of infection.
