Active Ingredient & Action
PEMETREXED FOR INJECTION contains Pemetrexed (Pemetrexed Disodium Hemipentahydrate), a folate analog metabolic inhibitor that disrupts DNA synthesis, leading to cell death in rapidly dividing cancer cells. Pemetrexed works by inhibiting the enzyme thymidylate synthase, which is necessary for DNA synthesis, thereby preventing cancer cells from reproducing.
