DUPIXENT is a prescription medication used to treat certain conditions by targeting the interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13) pathways. It is administered via injection and is available in a pre-filled syringe or pen.

Key Benefits & Uses

• Treatment of moderate-to-severe atopic dermatitis (eczema) in adults and children 6 years of age and older who have had inadequate response to previous treatments.
• Treatment of moderate-to-severe asthma in adults and adolescents 12 years of age and older who have an eosinophilic phenotype or a history of asthma attacks (exacerbations) requiring oral corticosteroids.
• Treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps in adults.

Active Ingredient & Action

DUPIXENT contains dupilumab, a fully human monoclonal antibody that selectively binds to the IL-4 receptor alpha subunit (IL4Rα) and inhibits the activity of IL-4 and IL-13, two key cytokines involved in the pathogenesis of these conditions.
