ТОРО — is a powerful pain reliever that belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is not an opioid and does not interact with opioid receptors. Due to its properties, the medication effectively eliminates pain syndrome and has an anti-inflammatory effect.

Composition

The active ingredient of the preparation is ketorolac tromethamine. 1 ml of the solution contains 30 mg of this substance. The auxiliary composition includes sodium chloride, monohydrate citric acid, anhydrous ethanol, and water for injections.

Indications

The preparation is intended for short-term relief of moderate and severe postoperative pain. Treatment must be started in a hospital setting. The total duration of application should not exceed 2 days.

Pharmacological properties

The mechanism of action of ketorolac is based on the inhibition of the cyclooxygenase enzyme. This blocks the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for the development of inflammation, pain, and fever. When administered intramuscularly, the preparation is quickly and completely absorbed, reaching its maximum concentration in the blood plasma in approximately 50 minutes.
