About ТАУФОН-ДАРНИЦЯ

ТАУФОН-ДАРНИЦЯ contains taurine, a sulfur-containing amino acid involved in the synthesis of plastic material. This helps stimulate reparative and regenerative processes in eye diseases of a dystrophic nature. Taurine is formed in the body during the conversion of cysteine. It normalizes cell membrane functions and optimizes energy and metabolic processes.

Composition

The active substance of the drug is taurine; 1 ml of the solution contains 40 mg of taurine. The drug also contains excipients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218) and water for injections.

Indications

ТАУФОН-ДАРНИЦЯ is used for dystrophic lesions of the cornea and retina, including hereditary tapetoretinal degenerations. The drug is also used for cataracts (age-related, diabetic, traumatic, radiation-induced) and as a means of stimulating reparative processes in corneal injuries. In addition, it is used as an adjunctive agent for open-angle glaucoma.

Pharmacological properties

When instilled, ТАУФОН-ДАРНИЦЯ penetrates the eye tissues, where it exerts its specific effect. When used in therapeutic doses, the drug is practically not absorbed into the systemic circulation. Taurine helps normalize cell membrane functions, optimize energy and metabolic processes, and maintain the stability of the electrolyte composition of the cell cytoplasm.
