About СТОМОЛІК

СТОМОЛІК is an antiseptic agent for local application, the main component of which is hexetidine. The preparation is released in the form of a solution and is intended for oral cavity care.

Composition

Each milliliter of the solution contains 1 mg of the active substance - hexetidine. Auxiliary components include ethanol 96%, polysorbate 60, sodium saccharin, monohydrate citric acid, levomenthol, eucalyptus oil, calcium-sodium edetate, sodium hydroxide, carmoisine dye (E 122), and purified water.

Indications

The preparation is used for minor infections of the oral cavity, including candidiasis, as well as for the treatment of throat pain and recurrent aphthous ulcers. СТОМОЛІК is used as an auxiliary agent in gingivitis and to eliminate unpleasant breath odor. It is also recommended before and after dental surgical interventions.

Pharmacological properties

Hexetidine has a broad spectrum of antimicrobial action. It is effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as fungi and yeast, including Candida albicans.

After local application, hexetidine is retained on the mucous membranes of the oral cavity. Residual amounts of the substance can be determined in tissues for 8-10 hours, and in some cases - up to 65 hours after use.
