About СЕПТИЛ
СЕПТИЛ is an antiseptic agent for external use. The preparation exhibits disinfecting and local irritating action.
Composition
The active ingredient of the preparation is ethanol in a concentration of 69.3% to 70.7% v/v. The auxiliary component in the solution is purified water.
Indications
The agent is used for surgical hand treatment. It is also effective in the treatment of furuncles, panaritium, infiltrates, and mastitis at the initial stages. It is used to perform compresses and rubdowns.
Pharmacological properties
Ethanol provides an antiseptic effect through protein coagulation, making it active against viruses, as well as gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. When applied locally, the preparation is not absorbed through the skin.
