About SAGILIA
Sagilia contains rasagiline tartrate 1 mg per tablet for idiopathic parkinsonism as monotherapy or adjunct to levodopa.
Composition
Rasagiline 1 mg (as tartrate) with microcrystalline cellulose, maize starch, talc and sodium stearyl fumarate.
Indications
Monotherapy in early Parkinson disease; adjunct to levodopa in end-of-dose fluctuations.
Pharmacological properties
Potent irreversible selective MAO-B inhibitor increasing synaptic dopamine; active metabolite 1-aminoindan does not inhibit MAO-B.
