PROFENDER is a veterinary medicine containing the active ingredients Praziquantel and Emodepside. It is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic used to treat various internal parasites in dogs and cats.

Active Ingredient & Action

The active ingredients Praziquantel and Emodepside work synergistically to exert their anthelmintic effects. Praziquantel acts by causing the death of the parasite through a mechanism that involves the disruption of the parasite's cell membrane, leading to the loss of intracellular ions and ultimately, the death of the parasite. Emodepside enhances the efficacy of Praziquantel by increasing its uptake by the parasite.
