About Isla-Mint

ISLA-MINT is a lozenge medicine containing Iceland moss extract. It is effective in inflammatory conditions of the airways and helps protect mucous membranes.

Composition

Each lozenge contains 100 mg of aqueous Iceland moss extract (2–4:1). Excipients include sorbitol solution, aspartame, gum arabic, peppermint oil, copper chlorophyll complexes, light mineral oil and purified water. Carbohydrate content is 0.385 g per lozenge (0.03 bread units).

Indications

Used for cough, including in bronchitis, and hoarseness due to laryngitis or pharyngitis. It may be used as an adjunct in bronchial asthma and when the voice is strained (teachers, singers, lecturers).

ISLA-MINT also relieves mucosal dryness from dry indoor air, mouth breathing or sport.

Pharmacological properties

The action is based on antimicrobial and immunostimulant properties of Iceland moss. Polysaccharides form a protective layer on mucous membranes against irritants.

Protective effects also support preventive use during sport.
