Composition

Indications

The preparation is recommended for use in cases of skin itching, particularly after mosquito bites. It is also effective for allergic irritations on small areas of skin, minor sunburn, and uncomplicated dermatitis of mild degree.

Pharmacological Properties

Dimethindene maleate is an antagonist of histamine (H1-receptors) and a phenindene derivative. It provides antiallergic and antipruritic effects, as well as local anesthetic properties and a cooling effect on the skin.

Due to the special base of the gel, the active component penetrates the epidermis quickly. The onset of action is felt within a few minutes after application, and the peak of effectiveness occurs within 1-4 hours. The systemic bioavailability of the active substance with local application is 10%.
