About CETIRIZIN-TEVA
CETIRIZIN-TEVA is a medicinal product intended for alleviating symptoms of allergic rhinitis and urticaria.
Composition
The active substance in the product is cetirizine, a selective peripheral H1-receptor antagonist. Additional components include lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium croscarmellose, colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrous, and magnesium stearate.
Indications
CETIRIZIN-TEVA is intended for the treatment of adults and children aged 6 years and above suffering from seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as chronic idiopathic urticaria.
Pharmacological properties
Cetirizine acts by blocking H1-receptors, leading to a decrease in the recruitment of eosinophils in the skin and conjunctiva of patients with atopy. The maximum equilibrium concentration of cetirizine in plasma is achieved within 1 hour after administration.
