About ХІТОЗАН-ГЕНТА
ХІТОЗАН-ГЕНТА is a medicinal product belonging to the group of aminoglycoside antibiotics. The preparation is available in gel form and is intended for local application.
Composition
The active ingredient of the preparation is gentamicin sulfate (1 mg in 1 g of gel). The auxiliary components include chitosan-based matrix (chitosan and milk acid complex), hydroxyethyl cellulose, methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E 218), propylene glycol, glycerin, and purified water.
Indications
The preparation is used in complex treatment in surgery for local treatment of wounds (first and second phases of the wound healing process) to prevent and treat purulent complications, as well as for the treatment of trophic defects. In otolaryngology, the agent is used to treat ear infections of II-III degree and frostbites.
In dermatology, the preparation is effective for infectious skin diseases caused by bacteria sensitive to gentamicin (pyodermatitis, superficial folliculitis, furunculosis, dermatitis, acne). The agent is also used to treat small wounds and superficial skin defects due to household injuries.
