ЗОЛТЕРО is a medication containing the active ingredient Zoledronic acid, a bisphosphonate used in the treatment of bone diseases. It is a sterile, clear, colorless solution for intravenous administration.

Active Ingredient & Action

Zoledronic acid works by inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, thereby reducing bone turnover and increasing bone density. It binds to hydroxyapatite in bone, forming a stable, non-dissociable complex that interferes with the mevalonate pathway, leading to the inhibition of osteoclast function and bone resorption.

ЗОЛТЕРО should be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional. It is essential to follow the recommended dosing schedule and to monitor patients for signs of renal impairment, hypocalcemia, and other potential side effects. Patients with creatinine clearance < 35 mL/min should not receive ЗОЛТЕРО.
