Active Ingredient & Action
Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, works by blocking the action of angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor, resulting in vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, inhibits the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, leading to vasodilation and reduced blood pressure.
