About STAUROM

STAUROM contains the active substance chondroitin sulfate sodium. This substance is the main component of proteoglycans, which form the cartilaginous matrix. The drug is used for the treatment of joint and spine diseases.

Composition

1 ml of the drug contains 100 mg of chondroitin sulfate sodium. The drug also contains auxiliary substances: benzyl alcohol, 0.1 M sodium hydroxide solution or 0.1 M hydrochloric acid solution, water for injection.

Indications

STAUROM is used for symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis, arthropathy, intervertebral osteochondrosis, and deforming osteoarthritis. The drug is intended for the treatment of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of joints and spine.

Pharmacological properties

The drug slows down the process of degeneration and stimulates the regeneration of cartilage tissue, has chondroprotective, anti-inflammatory, analgesic effects. STAUROM replaces chondroitin sulfate of the joint cartilage, which is catalyzed by a pathological process, and inhibits the activity of enzymes that cause the degradation of joint cartilage.
