About СОЛУ-МЕДРОЛ

СОЛУ-МЕДРОЛ is a medicinal product containing methylprednisolone, a synthetic glucocorticoid. It is used for the treatment of various diseases, including rheumatic disorders, collagenoses, and dermatological diseases.

Composition

СОЛУ-МЕДРОЛ contains the active substance methylprednisolone in the form of methylprednisolone sodium succinate. The 125 mg, 500 mg, and 1000 mg dosages contain the following excipients: sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, anhydrous sodium hydrogen phosphate. The 40 mg dosage contains the following excipients: sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, anhydrous sodium hydrogen phosphate, sucrose.

Indications

СОЛУ-МЕДРОЛ is used for the treatment of rheumatic disorders, including post-traumatic osteoarthritis, synovitis of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, acute and subacute bursitis, epicondylitis, acute nonspecific tenosynovitis, acute gouty arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.

It is also used for the treatment of collagenoses, including systemic lupus erythematosus, acute rheumatic carditis, systemic dermatomyositis, polyarteritis nodosa, and Goodpasture's syndrome.

СОЛУ-МЕДРОЛ is also used for the treatment of dermatological diseases, including pemphigus, severe erythema multiforme, exfoliative dermatitis, bullous dermatitis herpetiformis, severe seborrheic dermatitis, severe psoriasis, mycosis fungoides, and urticaria.

Pharmacological properties

СОЛУ-МЕДРОЛ exerts a strong anti-inflammatory, immunosuppressive, and anti-allergic effect. It penetrates the cell membrane via diffusion and forms complexes with specific receptors in the cytoplasm.
