About СИМДАКС

СИМДАКС is a medicinal product, the active ingredient of which is levosimendan. The preparation is used in hospital settings to provide inotropic support to patients with cardiac pathologies.

Composition

The preparation is released in the form of a concentrate for preparing a solution for infusions. The content of the active component levosimendan is 2.5 mg in 1 ml of the agent.

Indications

СИМДАКС is prescribed for short-term therapy of acute decompensated chronic heart failure of a severe degree. Its use is justified in cases where standard treatment methods do not produce the desired result and there is a need for inotropic support.

Pharmacological properties

Levosimendan increases the sensitivity of myocardial contractile proteins to calcium, which contributes to an increase in the strength of heart contractions without disrupting the relaxation of the ventricles. The preparation also acts as a vasodilator, opening potassium channels in blood vessels, which leads to the expansion of arteries and veins. Due to this, the load on the heart decreases, and the contractile function of the myocardium improves. In addition, the agent exhibits selective inhibitory activity against FDE III and activates the myocardium in patients after coronary angioplasty or thrombolysis.
