Active Ingredient & Action

Semaglutide works by mimicking the action of a natural hormone in the body called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). GLP-1 helps to regulate blood sugar levels by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas and decreasing the release of glucagon. Semaglutide also slows gastric emptying, which helps to reduce postprandial glucose levels.

It is not recommended for use in patients with a history of pancreatitis, thyroid C-cell tumors, or a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma. Patients with a history of pancreatitis should be closely monitored while taking ОЗЕМПІК. Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and injection site reactions.
