ІБАНДРОНОВА КИСЛОТА-ВІСТА 150 мг is a medicinal product used for the treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at increased risk of fractures.

Composition

Active substance: 150 mg of ibandronic acid in the form of 168.75 mg of ibandronate sodium monohydrate.

Excipients: lactose monohydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; crospovidone (type A); colloidal anhydrous silica, sodium stearyl fumarate; film coating (Opadry II white): polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide (E 171), talc, macrogol 3350.

Indications

Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women at increased risk of fractures.

A reduction in the risk of vertebral fractures has been demonstrated; efficacy in preventing hip fractures has not been established.

Pharmacological properties

Ibandronic acid is a highly potent nitrogen-containing bisphosphonate that acts selectively on bone tissue and specifically inhibits osteoclast activity.

The medicinal product does not affect the process of replenishing the osteoclast pool.
