About ФЕНІЛЕФРИН

The "Polidexa with Phenylephrine" preparation is a nasal spray available in 15 ml bottles. It combines the action of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory components, and decongestant substances for comprehensive treatment of nasal cavity infections.

Composition

Each 1 ml solution contains: neomycin sulfate (6500 IU), dexamethasone sodium methosulfate (250 mcg), polymyxin B sulfate (10000 IU), and PHENYLEPHRINE (as hydrochloride — 2.5 mg).

Additional ingredients: methyl parahydroxybenzoate (E218), lithium chloride, monohydrate citric acid, lithium hydroxide, macrogol 4000, polysorbate 80, and purified water.

Indications

The product is used for inflammatory-infectious diseases of the nasal cavity. Specifically, it is indicated for the treatment of acute rhinitis and acute sinusitis.

Pharmacological Properties

The therapeutic effect is achieved by combining the anti-inflammatory action of dexamethasone, the decongestant effect of phenylephrine, and the antibacterial activity of neomycin and polymyxin B. Phenylephrine helps reduce nasal congestion.

The combination of antibiotics provides a broad spectrum of action against most gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms that cause nasal inflammation and paranasal sinuses. Polymyxin B is active against bacteria such as E.coli, Klebsiella, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and others, while neomycin acts on Corynebacterium and Listeria monocytogenes.
