ФЕМІВАГ — these are vaginal capsules containing live lactic acid bacteria. The product is designed to support and restore the natural vaginal microbiota.

Composition

Each capsule contains at least 10⁸ CFU (100,000,000 units) of Lactobacillus gasseri and at least 10⁸ CFU (100,000,000 units) of Lactobacillus rhamnosus.

Indications

The product is used for the prevention and treatment of vaginal flora imbalance, which is accompanied by itching, dryness, irritation, unpleasant odor, or abnormal discharge. It is also indicated for bacterial vaginosis of mild to moderate degree.

The preparation is effective for restoring and protecting the natural microbiota after completing a course of antimicrobial therapy.

Pharmacological Properties

The action of the drug is due to the properties of the strains of L. gasseri and L. rhamnosus, which are dominant in the microbiota of healthy women. Lactic acid bacteria produce lactic acid, maintaining a low pH level, which prevents the proliferation of pathogenic microorganisms.

In addition, the bacteria exhibit adhesion properties and the ability to synthesize hydrogen peroxide and bacteriocins. This allows for effective prevention of the invasion of unwanted microorganisms into the vaginal environment.
