Indications
The medicinal product is indicated for alleviating nasal and ocular symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis and chronic idiopathic urticaria in adults and children over 6 years old.
Pharmacological properties
Cetirizine acts as a selective antagonist of peripheral H1-receptors, which leads to inhibition of the late phase of cell recruitment in the inflammatory process, especially eosinophils, in the skin and conjunctiva of individuals who have been administered an antigen.
