About Арс 154
Арс 154 contains the active ingredient paracetamol, which has analgesic and antipyretic effects. The mechanism of action of paracetamol involves blocking cyclooxygenase (COX) I and II only in the central nervous system. This provides pain relief and a reduction in body temperature.
Composition
100 ml of Арс 154 solution contains 1000 mg of paracetamol, as well as excipients: mannitol (E 421), disodium phosphate dihydrate, water for injections.
Indications
Арс 154 is intended for the short-term treatment of moderate pain, especially in the postoperative period, and for the short-term treatment of hyperthermic reactions when intravenous administration is clinically justified or other routes of administration are not feasible.
Pharmacological properties
Paracetamol provides pain relief 5–10 minutes after administration, and the peak analgesic effect is reached within 1 hour. The duration of this effect is usually 4–6 hours. Paracetamol reduces body temperature within 30 minutes after administration.
