Active Ingredient & Action
FLU RELIEF contains a combination of acetaminophen, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, acetaminophen, and diphenhydramine hydrochloride. Acetaminophen works as a pain reliever and reduces fever by blocking the production of prostaglandins, which are chemicals that cause pain and fever. Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride is a decongestant that helps to reduce nasal congestion by constricting blood vessels in the nose. Dextromethorphan hydrobromide is a cough suppressant that helps to relieve coughing by acting on the brain to reduce the urge to cough. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride is an antihistamine that helps to relieve runny nose, sneezing, and itchy eyes by blocking the action of histamine, a chemical that causes these symptoms.
