ФЕНІСТИЛ ЕМУЛЬСІЯ — this is a medicinal product intended for external use. The preparation contains dimetindene maleate, which is an antagonist of histamine at the H1-receptor level. Thanks to its formula, the product penetrates the skin quickly, providing relief from symptoms within a few minutes after application.
Composition
The active ingredient of the preparation is dimetindene maleate (1 mg in 1 g of emulsion). Auxiliary components include benzalkonium chloride, benzyl alcohol, butylated hydroxytoluene (E 321), sodium edetate, coconut oil caprylate, mineral oil, cetostearyl alcohol, carbomer, sodium hydroxide, propylene glycol, and purified water.
Indications
The preparation is applied for skin itching, particularly caused by mosquito bites. It is also effective for allergic irritations on small areas of skin, hives, uncomplicated eczema, and minor sunburns.
Pharmacological Properties
Dimetindene maleate has high affinity for H1-receptors, reduces capillary permeability, and exhibits local anesthetic properties. The emulsion base of the product provides cooling, soothing, softening, and moisturizing effects. After application, systemic penetration of the active ingredient is less than 10% of the dose.
