It is supplied in a single-dose, 10 mL vial for intravenous administration. Meropenem is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against a wide range of gram-positive, gram-negative, and anaerobic bacteria.

Active Ingredient & Action
Meropenem is a carbapenem antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs). This results in the disruption of the bacterial cell wall, ultimately leading to cell lysis and death. Meropenem has a broad spectrum of activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
