SPY AGENT GREEN
Product Overview
About SPY AGENT GREEN
SPY AGENT GREEN is a medical imaging agent containing the active ingredient Indocyanine Green (ICG). It is used in various diagnostic procedures to visualize the retinal vasculature and choroidal neovascularization, as well as to assess liver function and cardiac output.
Key Benefits & Uses
- Visualization of the retinal vasculature and choroidal neovascularization for ophthalmic diagnostics.
- Assessment of liver function and cardiac output in patients undergoing cardiac surgery or with suspected liver disease.
- Diagnostic imaging of the pancreas, liver, and spleen in patients with suspected pancreatic or liver disease.
Active Ingredient & Action
Indocyanine Green (ICG) is a cyanine dye that is selectively taken up by the liver and excreted into the bile. When administered intravenously, ICG binds to plasma proteins and is then taken up by the liver, where it is excreted into the bile. This allows for the visualization of the liver and its function through imaging techniques such as near-infrared fluorescence imaging.
Important Notes
SPY AGENT GREEN should only be administered under the guidance of a qualified healthcare professional. Patients with known hypersensitivity to ICG or other cyanine dyes should not receive this medication. Additionally, patients with severe liver or kidney disease should be closely monitored for signs of adverse reactions.
