Active Ingredient & Action
POLIVY contains the active ingredient polatuzumab vedotin, a monoclonal antibody-drug conjugate that targets CD79a, a protein found on the surface of B cells. Polatuzumab vedotin works by binding to CD79a and delivering a cytotoxic agent, monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE), directly to the B cells, resulting in cell death.
